There are no membership requirements: authors do not need to belong to any society, consortium or institution to publish here. There are no fees payable to any third party as a condition of publication — no handling agent, no language service, no formatting service and no submission platform charges anything on the journal's behalf. Authors may use a paid editing or translation service if they wish, but the journal neither requires it nor takes part in it, and using one confers no advantage in review.
How the journal is funded
The journal is funded entirely by Qazaq AI Research University, which meets the full cost of editorial work, production, DOI registration and hosting. This is the Diamond Open Access model described on /open-access-policy.
The journal carries no advertising on its website, publishes no sponsored content, sells no reprints and has no other source of revenue. Funding comes from the publisher's budget and does not depend on the number of articles accepted. Editorial decisions are made by the editors and reviewers on scientific grounds alone; the publisher takes no part in the decision on any manuscript, and the funding arrangement gives no author or institution — including authors from the publishing university — any advantage in review. See /editorial-policies and /publication-ethics.
No waivers, because there is nothing to waive
Because no charge exists, the journal operates no waiver, discount or fee-support scheme. No author is asked about ability to pay, and no author is disadvantaged by an inability to pay. Country of residence, career stage, institutional affiliation and funding status have no bearing on whether a manuscript is considered, reviewed or published.
Warning about fraudulent payment requests
The journal never asks authors for payment and never issues invoices. Any e-mail, message or invoice requesting a fee in the name of QAIRU Journal or Qazaq AI Research University is not from the journal.
If you receive such a request, do not pay it and do not reply to it. Forward it, with full message headers if possible, to journal@qairu.edu.kz. Genuine editorial correspondence comes only from addresses at the journal's own domain and never asks for payment, card details or bank transfers.
Changes to this policy
Any future change to this policy would be announced on this page in advance of taking effect. It would not apply to manuscripts already submitted or already accepted, and it would be recorded in the version history of this page, so that the terms in force at the time of any submission remain verifiable.
